Vizwriting – Factual TV for the curious: documentaries, science, history and news

Vizwriting sports, from the World Cup to college football

Which broadcasters inside the 25,000+ live channels carry each competition, the countries their feeds come from, and where a 4K copy exists. A guide to finding a game, not a promise of one.

Vizwriting sports means the sports channels of 60+ countries, sitting in the same line-up as the documentaries and the news and included in every plan at no extra cost. In the US that is ESPN, FOX, CBS and NFL RedZone; in Britain, Sky Sports and TNT Sports; further out, beIN, DAZN, TSN and Star Sports. A competition is watchable whenever one of those broadcasters airs it.

This site is put together for people who watch to find things out, so the page works like a reference desk: the table first, then the limits, then the leagues Americans ask about, then how to follow a game the way you would follow a story.

The Vizwriting sports table, widest reach first

Each row gives a competition, the countries its feeds come from, the broadcaster channels to look up in the guide and how often a 4K copy turns up. Rows run from events shown on every continent down to leagues watched mainly in the US, and inside each cell broadcasters from the same country sit together.

What the service can and cannot promise for sport

It can promise the channels, not the fixtures. Vizwriting is not a rights holder and has no deal of any kind with a league, club or broadcaster. What it offers is a line-up of broadcasters’ channels: you see what they air, and when a broadcaster loses a competition, the games leave with it.

Two practical consequences follow. A game shown only on a streaming service that is not in the line-up will not appear. And a network’s regional games depend on the market its feed comes from, so two copies of CBS can show different NFL games on the same Sunday.

Vizwriting NFL and the rest of North American sport

The NFL reaches Vizwriting through seven sources: CBS, FOX, NBC and ESPN, the Prime Video games, NFL Network and NFL RedZone. RedZone cuts between live games as teams close in on the end zone, which suits a Sunday when you follow the whole league more than one team.

Basketball sits on ABC, ESPN and NBC, with NBA TV and the regional sports networks. Baseball is on TBS, FOX, FS1 and ESPN, with MLB Network. Hockey comes from Sportsnet and TSN on the Canadian side and ESPN, TNT and NHL Network on the American one. College football and basketball run across CBS, ESPN, FS1, ESPNU and the ACC, Big Ten and SEC channels.

Vizwriting Premier League and the European game

Premier League matches arrive on the channels of the US and British broadcasters that show them: NBC Sports, USA Network and Peacock, Sky Sports and TNT Sports. The Champions League and Europa League turn up on Paramount+, CBS Sports, TNT Sports, beIN and DAZN.

Spain’s, Italy’s, Germany’s and France’s top divisions appear on ESPN+, beIN, Movistar, DAZN, Sky and Canal+. Commentary follows the feed, so a Spanish or Italian channel brings the match in that language, and ninety minutes of it makes decent listening practice for anyone learning one.

Following a game the way you follow a story

The habits that serve the news serve sport too: keep the broadcasters you use in favorites, read ahead in the guide instead of hunting at kick-off, and turn to ESPN News, the sports news channel in the US sport group, for what surrounds the game.

  • One match, two countries. When broadcasters in Britain and the US both carry a game, you get two sets of commentators and two studios, and with both in favorites, comparing them takes one press.
  • The start you missed. On sports channels that carry catch-up, a player that supports it can take a game back to the first minute; how far back depends on the channel.
  • Two games on one screen. TiviMate Premium tiles channels with multi-view. Each tile counts as a connection, which is covered in the FAQ below.

Get the screen ready before the game

  • Search by broadcaster, not by league. The guide lists channels, so type “Sky Sports” or “TSN” rather than the name of a competition.
  • Give the 4K copy a network cable. If the box only reaches the router over Wi-Fi, start on FHD and move up once the picture holds.
  • Pick a player with a guide. TiviMate suits Android TV and Fire OS boxes, IPTV Smarters Pro works almost everywhere else, and on Apple devices the free app is Smarters Player Lite.

The steps to install Vizwriting in TiviMate include the guide and favorites, and the setup guides for other devices take each one in turn, from a Samsung or LG television to Apple TV.

Try it on a fixture you follow

Choose a day when something you follow is live and ask for the Vizwriting free trial, which lasts 24 hours. Find the game through its broadcaster, then try its 4K copy and its HD copy in turn to learn what your connection sustains; how Vizwriting handles 4K explains what the difference needs.

One screen costs $15 for a month or $69 for a year. Plans never renew on their own, the first 7 days are covered by a money-back guarantee, and the other tiers are on Vizwriting plans and prices. Every sports channel, grouped by country, is in the Vizwriting channel list. Between games, the same login opens the documentaries and factual channels the site is built around.

Vizwriting sports, asked and answered

Is the NFL on Vizwriting?

Yes. NFL games arrive through CBS, FOX, NBC and ESPN, the Prime Video games, NFL Network and NFL RedZone, all of them in the line-up. Regional games on CBS and FOX vary from one feed to another, so look the game up in the program guide on the day. There is no agreement with the league, and no particular game can be promised.

Does Vizwriting show Premier League matches?

Yes, whenever the broadcasters that show them air a match: NBC Sports, USA Network and Peacock from the US, Sky Sports and TNT Sports from Britain. The program guide tells you which channel has a given match; this page only tells you where to look. Every plan includes these channels at no extra cost.

Is Vizwriting sport in 4K?

Some of it is. Rows marked “on most broadcasts” in the table, such as the World Cup and Euros, fight nights, European club football, the NFL and the NBA, usually have a 4K copy beside the HD one; the rest have 4K for some games only. A 4K television or box is required, and a cable to the router makes the 4K copy steadier.

Can I watch two games at once on Vizwriting?

Yes, with a player that can split the screen and a plan with enough connections. TiviMate Premium does the splitting with multi-view. Each tile is its own stream, so two games means the two-connection tier: $25 a month, or $119 for twelve months. A player without multi-view shows one channel at a time.

Can I restart a game that has already begun?

Often, yes. Catch-up comes with every plan on the sports channels that carry it, and a player with catch-up support can take a game that is already under way back to the first minute. How far back it reaches depends on the channel, and not every channel has it.

Does Vizwriting have a deal with any league or broadcaster?

No. The service holds no rights from any league, team or broadcaster and is partnered with none of them. The line-up is made of broadcasters’ own channels, so on a given day you can watch whatever they happen to be showing. Treat the table on this page as a starting point and the program guide as the answer.
